Background

Chelsea Stinson holds a PhD in Special Education, a CAS in Disability Studies, and an MS in Inclusive Special Education from Syracuse University. She completed her undergraduate degree at SUNY Oswego, where she studied Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Linguistics. Dr. Stinson has taught English as a New Language across grades K-12 in both rural and urban public schools. She has also provided professional support and advocacy for school districts and families related to behavior, communication, literacy, and special education evaluations and programs. Her research, teaching, and community-engaged service are situated at the intersections of language, disability, race, migration, and culture in education.
