Safety Policies

All users of ADL-managed facilities must agree to abide by the rules and policies of Binghamton University and are expected to follow the established ADL safety policies. The following safety policies are meant to provide everyone with a safe and secure working environment. The ADL reserves the right to eject and ban any user for failure to adhere to ADL policies and procedures.

Users may only use equipment for which they are authorized. Users should report any equipment or facility problems to laboratory staff. Repairs and maintenance of equipment and facilities is performed or authorized by laboratory staff only.

Users are responsible for reminding fellow users of safe laboratory practice, if said users are seen engaging in activities that may endanger themselves or others. The observer is then responsible for immediately reporting the incident to laboratory staff.
