Biography
Lyn Watts is a hydrogeologist and assistant professor of Earth Sciences. She is broadly interested in the evolving relationships between water, land, and people.
Her current research is focused on:
- Assessing the impact of ecosystem restoration on wetland hydrology and long-term function
- Atlantic white cedar swamps and the hydrologic conditions needed for tree regeneration and peat accumulation
- Mapping forecasted flood impacts and assessing the reliability of flood forecasts at national and regional scales.
