Biography

Xiangjin Xu is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Binghamton University. He obtained a BS from Nankai University, an MS from Chern Institute of Mathematics, and a PhD from Johns Hopkins University.

Before joining Binghamton University, he was a Whyburn Instructor at the University of Virginia. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley (now SLMath) in 2005, and at Montreal's Centre de Recherches Mathematiques in 2008.

His research interests are in harmonic analysis on manifolds and geometric analysis
