Biomedical Engineering Society

The mission of the BMES is to build and support the biomedical engineering community, locally, nationally and internationally, with activities designed to communicate recent advances, discoveries, and inventions; promote education and professional development; and integrate the perspectives of the academic, medical, governmental and business sectors.

We offer a range of events, including academic, professional, community outreach/volunteer opportunities and social events. Some examples include industry visits, research discussions, resume workshops, panel events, game night and ICK (I’m a Complex Kid!). ICK is our largest community outreach event and involves doing biomedical/science based experiments with local kids.

We offer a mentorship program to promote connections and camaraderie within our community. Our club offers diverse opportunities for all members.

Mentorship Program

Our club offers a mentorship program where we pair underclassmen with upperclassmen who have similar major tracks to aid with registering for classes, coursework and any questions about internships or careers after receiving a degree.
