AI for the Public Good - Summer Research Program Application 

The research experience in AI for the Public Good is for undergraduates interested in AI. The summer research program will run June 1, 2027 through August 6, 2027 and offers a stipend, housing, and travel support. The program is open to eligible students from partner campuses across a range of majors, with priority given to Pell Grant recipients. Applications for Summer 2027 will open on October 15, 2026, with a  February 1, 2027 due date, with a reference letter required shortly after.

As part of Binghamton University's new Advancing AI for the Public Good: A Binghamton University–SUNY Campus Partnership Initiative, we seek faculty partners who are interested in serving as research mentors during summer 2027. Faculty across all disciplines are welcome to submit AI-focused projects for consideration. The call for proposal application for Summer 2027 will open on September 15, 2026, with a deadline of January 15, 2027
