Safe Space

The VARCC's Safe Space is an area for people who have experienced interpersonal violence, including sexual violence, to come together in a relaxed atmosphere to talk, use therapeutic art supplies, listen to music, do homework and generally just chill together.

When you arrive, check in with the receptionist and let them know you would like to visit the Safe Space. You will have access to a wide variety of self-care, crafting, art and healing items, as well as computers with healing and empowerment apps and software that you can use. The Safe Space is a quiet and private space to relax or study that can only be accessed through our reception check-in process. This space is reserved exclusively for survivors of sexual assault, sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence and/or stalking.
