Self-Enrolling in the Organization

1. Make sure you are logged into my.binghamton.edu.

2. Click on the self-enroll in this myCourses organization link.

3. Click Submit. You are now enrolled in the organization.

Creating a Panopto Recording

1. Log in to myCourses and go to the KOR Studios organization.

2. Click on the Panopto Video link in the course menu.

3. A new page will open with available Panopto recordings. Click the KOR Studios Recordings folder. just below the "Name, Duration, Date, Rating" line.

4. Click the green Create button and then select Record a new session.

5. The Panopto Recorder application will launch.

6. Once the Panopto Recorder application opens, make sure you're recording to the KOR Recording Studios folder. If necessary, you can change folders by clicking the drop-down list.

7. Give a title to the video you are recording

8. Now you want to determine what content you want to capture. If you want yourself to be in the video, choose a webcam or video camera from the Video drop down under Primary Sources.

9. If you want to record your screen or PowerPoint slides, choose from the options under Secondary Sources.

10. If you choose to record one or more of your screens, adjust the fps setting at the bottom of the screen up to 15. Note: fps means Frames Per Second and it will help you stream the best quality video.

11. Choose your Audio under Primary Sources by selecting a microphone that is connected to your computer. Note: You must select a primary audio source for a successful recording.

12. After selecting, test your audio by talking in a normal voice to test volume. You should see a few green bars appear as you talk. If you don't see any or see the red and yellow bars highlighted, adjust the volume by using the slider.

13. When you're ready, click the Record button at the top (Fig. 12). Panopto will start recording all of the sources you've selected. If you've chosen to record your screen capture, you can minimize Panopto and begin displaying the content you wish to present.

14. When you are finished, maximize Panopto and click the Stop button.

15. Click the blue Upload button and your video will automatically be uploaded to the KOR Recording Studios folder.
