The Advanced Certificate in Forensic Health online program is open to any non-Binghamton University students with a bachelor’s degree. It is a stand-alone certificate program delivered online. Overview and Requirements
The Advanced Certificate in Forensic Health is a graduate-level program designed to improve students’ understanding of interpersonal violence and its effects on victims and offenders. This exclusively online program is open to anyone with a bachelor’s degree; however, current Binghamton University graduate students must apply to the add-on version of this program.
The forensic health certificate may be especially beneficial for professionals in fields such as nursing, public health, anthropology, public safety, medical examiners' or coroners' offices, and probation or parole agencies.
The curriculum covers topics such as victim trauma, offender behavior, and healthcare policy, allowing students to understand the complexities of the justice system and healthcare settings. The program focuses on providing evidence-based responses to different types of trauma and violence, combining academic theories with practical skills.
This program is offered entirely online.

NOTE: Students who completed an undergraduate forensics course or courses through Binghamton's Decker School of Nursing or Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences cannot repeat coursework of the same title at the graduate level.
