The Binghamton Center for Writers is a State University of New York-organized Research Center associated with the Creative Writing Program at Binghamton University. While academic courses are handled through the English Department, the Binghamton Center for Writers cultivates an active community through literary programs and events including the Distinguished Writers Series, the Binghamton Poetry Project, Harpur Palate Literary Journal, the Binghamton Book Awards, the Common Ground student reading series, faculty and alumni readings, creative writing student awards, and other opportunities.
