Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence 2021-2022

For the 2021-2022 academic year, Jaime Godoy joins Binghamton University and SUNY Broome as a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence (SiR).

Jaime Godoy
Jaime Godoy is a senior consultant at the Regional Office for South America of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights based in Santiago. Chilean lawyer from the University of Antofagasta, Master in Law and New Technologies from the University of Versailles and Master in Human Rights from the University of Paris West.

He has taught courses on human rights, international studies and public international law at the Institute of Political Science of the Pontificia Universidad Católica, at the Diplomatic Academy of Chile and at the Universidad Mayor in Santiago. He has also worked at the Human Rights Division of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the Chilean Missions to the United Nations in Geneva and UNESCO in Paris, at the Corporación de Asistencia Judicial in Santiago; he has volunteered at the Chilean and French sections of Amnesty International; and at the Madrid office of Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo. His main activities focus on international human rights law.

He will be a Fulbright SiR in 2021-2022 at the Institute for Genocide and Mass Atrocity Prevention (I-GMAP) at Binghamton University, and at the SUNY Broome Community College.
