Student Positions
Students provide essential assistance in all departments of the Libraries. Recognizing the value of student employees, the Libraries provide competitive wages.
Online applications go directly to supervisors who are individually responsible for hiring their own students. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
We regret that due to the number of inquiries we receive it is not possible for us to contact every applicant directly. Check this page frequently to see if the position you applied for has been filled.
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, POSITIONS ARE FOR UNDERGRADUATES AND REQUIRE FEDERAL WORK STUDY FUNDING.
If you are unsure whether or not you are eligible for financial aid you should visit the Financial Aid Office or go to the Financial Aid Office Webpage.

Faculty Positions
Librarians at Binghamton have faculty status. Among the considerations for appointment are academic record, relevant experience, references, and interpersonal skills. It is expected that a master's degree in library and/or information science will be required; additional advanced degrees may be required if there is a need for subject specialization. The successful candidate's appointment reflects not only present competence but also the potential for professional growth and development.
