Background
Hao Liu's research interests broadly lie in energy storage and conversion. Their goal is to understand the mechanisms that underlie the function and failure of materials for energy applications. This requires characterizing the structure-function/property relationship of materials.
In their group, they employ a range of experimental techniques, including X-ray scattering and synchrotron radiation, to study the chemical and physical processes that occur during, for example, battery operation.
