Background

Pianist and vocal coach Bobby Pace is a recent graduate of CU-Boulder with a D.M.A. in collaborative piano, studying with Margaret McDonald and Alexandra Nguyen. 

Pace previously worked as the staff accompanist at Chadron State College in Nebraska from 2015 to 2022, where he accompanied all music students, ensembles and faculty, and acted as music director for musical theatre productions. He has worked at Interlochen Arts Camp as a collaborative pianist in the musical theatre area for eight summers between 2015 and 2023, and is currently an associate music director. 

Career highlights include participating in the NATS Intern Program (2024), La Musica Lirica (2013-14), SongFest (2012) and the Orfeo Music Festival (2008, 2011). Pace has also presented at many conferences on topics such as playing musical theatre auditions, playing musical theatre repertoire, choral accompaniment, and the music of Ned Rorem and Paul Hindemith. 

A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, Pace also holds degrees from Florida State University and Stetson University, studying with primary teachers and advisors Valerie Trujillo, Jane Piper Clendinning, Michael Buchler and Michael Rickman.
