About the Office of International Education & Global Initiatives (IEGI):
IEGI staff and student ambassadors provide advising to Binghamton University students who wish to study abroad. In addition to administering Binghamton University's education abroad programs, we support programs offered by other SUNY campuses and non-SUNY programs. IEGI currently offers more than 50 programs, and we are constantly working with departments and faculty on campus to develop new programs which will serve the evolving needs of Binghamton students.
We also work closely with International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) to support incoming exchange students from our overseas academic partners. These visiting students come from varied locations, including the United Kingdom, South Korea, Morocco, and Germany. Binghamton University provides a welcoming environment for these students, ranging from academic advising to more general student support.

Binghamton’s Education Abroad Programs
Binghamton Fund for International Studies

Binghamton University students have access to approximately 600 education abroad programs sponsored by SUNY institutions, and even have the option of looking at programs outside the SUNY system.

Exchange students are full members of the Binghamton University community, and have many opportunities to enhance their understanding of the global community and to develop leadership and world citizenship skills.

Faculty at Binghamton University inspire students to explore and appreciate the global dimensions of knowledge and cultures within their academic disciplines.
