Binghamton University Women
Binghamton University Women (BUW) is a social organization that brings together women and their allies from across the University – staff, faculty, retirees, spouses and partners, and those volunteering in leadership roles for the University – for fellowship and service.
BUW is open to any and all Binghamton University staff, faculty, retirees, spouses/partners and lead volunteer members regardless of race, color, national origin or sex/gender identity, and is consistent with all current governing federal and state nondiscrimination law.
Founded in 1947 by Wanda Bartle, wife of Harpur College's first president, the volunteer group offers a number of programs during the academic year for all members and an array of special interest group activities. Whether you are new to the campus or have been at Binghamton for a while, BUW is a great way to meet people outside your department and make friendships and connections across our campus and in our community.
