Participate in Imaging Research
The Center for Transdisciplinary Research on Intimate Relationships is currently recruiting men between the ages of 18-24 to participate in a study conducted through Binghamton University. Individuals that complete the study will receive $50 in cash following all procedures.
Study Activities
Individuals that participate in this study will:
- Complete a series of in-person psychology questionnaires
- Complete magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) protocols
- Complete an experiment that asks participants to consider and rate different sexual scenarios
- Participation is expected to require approximately 2-2.5 hours distributed across two in-person visits to Binghamton University Campus and UHS Vestal Hospital
Study Eligibility
To participate individuals must be heterosexual males identifying as men between the ages of 18-24. Additionally, individuals must not have history of neurological disability or metallic implants. A full list of eligibility criteria for the study can be found here:
Individuals cannot have a history of:
- neurological disease
- severe traumatic brain injury
- stroke
- claustrophobia
- drug or substance abuse
- uncontrollable shaking
- Any conditions that would contra-indicate MRI such as having foreign metallic objects in the body, and not being right-handed (due to different patterns of brain activity).
