The E&IP office at Binghamton University fosters and promotes entrepreneurship on and off campus. We provide resources to aid the success of local entrepreneurs; students, faculty, staff and community members alike through multiple programs, expert staff and advanced facilities.

New Energy New York

The New Energy New York (NENY) initiative, led by Binghamton University, has been awarded more than $113 million to establish a hub for battery technology innovation in upstate New York. NENY is a designated Tech Hub by the Economic Development Association [2023] and an inaugural U.S. Naitonal Science Foundation Regional Innovation Engine Awardee [2024].

Technology Transfer

When faculty, students or staff create an invention, we serve as the campus resource to help assess, protect and leverage the underlying intellectual property rights. We aim to secure and scale your invention whether it is coming from the lab, office or even the garage. Discover Technology Transfer at Binghamton.
