Match Corps: Boston
Match Corps, an AmeriCorps program, is a one-year urban education fellowship. Recent college graduates from top universities across the country commit a year to closing the achievement gap in Boston, one student at a time. Match Corps Members tutor small groups of students in grades 1-12 and partner closely with families. Tutors are integral members of high-performing school teams in some of the best schools in America and discover what it takes to change the lives of kids.
$15,000 living allowance
$5,775 education award (upon successful completion of service term)
Subsidized housing with other Corps members (offered on a first come, first serve basis; not guaranteed to all Corps members)
Eligibility for health insurance coverage
Student loan forbearance (on qualifying loans)
Experience at a nationally-recognized organization
Lifelong friendships with other Corps members
To be eligible for our AmeriCorps Program, Match Corps members:
Applicants must be:
Must be 18 or older.
Must have attained a bachelor's degree by the start of training in August.
Must be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Permanent Resident, with accompanying documentation.
Must have served no more than three previous AmeriCorps terms (Terms can be of any length).
Must be committed to serving one full school year at Match.
