Ford Foundation Predoctoral Diversity Fellowship

The program aims to increase the diversity of college faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity. The predoctoral fellowships provide three years of support for individuals engaged in graduate study leading to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Science (Sc.D.) degree.

Awards for study in research-based PhD programs that lead to careers in teaching and research. Eligible fields include most of the humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Members of groups underrepresented in the American professoriate are encouraged to apply. A three-year award consisting of a stipend of $24,000/year, plus a payment to the graduate school in lieu of tuition.
