National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship

Three year graduate award, stipend of approximately $34,000/year and a payment to the graduate school for tuition and fees.For study in the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, and social sciences, and in the history and philosophy of science. Among the specific fields are: Anthropology, Archaeology,Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Geography, Geology, Geosciences, Linguistics, Mathematics, Materials Science, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. No awards in clinical, law, education, or business fields, nor for medical, dental or public health degrees. Awarded on the basis of GRE scores, academic work, recommendations and evidence of past research.
