About BC Transit

Binghamton University has a contractual agreement with Broome County (BC) Transit which allows students, faculty and staff to ride BC Transit buses at no cost by scanning their Binghamton University ID card. 

BC Transit has fixed-routes that serve the Broome County area. These buses travel along a specified path, and riders can board and exit buses at bus stop locations along the route.  BC Transit have over 20 routes, over 700 bus stops, and covers approximately 80 square miles. 

BC Transit receives a file transfer of eligible University students and staff on a weekly basis. ID cards added during transfer periods may experience scanning issues until the following week. If you have access issues when riding BC Transit, email dhusch@binghamton.edu.

Broome County Transit announces Connexionz bus tracking app
BC Transit buses are now equipped with real-time bus tracking devices that allow riders to see when and where they will be at any location as well as five route directions. Download the Connexionz app to view.
