Writing Initiative

Background

Noah Wason joined the Writing Initiative in Fall 2022. Prior to this, he earned his PhD in Composition and Cultural Rhetoric from Syracuse University. He has an MA in English Literature and BS in English Literature and Inclusive Adolescent Education from SUNY Brockport. Noah has been teaching writing since 2016 and has taught several writing courses including first year writing, research writing, digital writing, technical and professional writing, and surveillance rhetorics at Syracuse University and Colgate University. His research focuses on the intersections between rhetorical theory and technology, notably the connections between ethos, surveillance, and the algorithmic technologies that power social media platforms. His work has appeared in Rhetoric Review, the Rhetoric of Health & Medicine, and the Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy.
