Create or update your will

This time of year is about legacy. August is when students return to Binghamton eager to learn and when they begin shaping the legacy they’ll leave on campus and the world. It’s also National Make-A-Will Month, when we’re reminded to create or update our own legacy plans.

Estate planning helps you protect loved ones, save on taxes and outline your wishes for family and assets — your home, cash and everything else you own.

We want to help. Almost half of people say they do not create their plan because they procrastinate. Many of our alumni and friends have used our comprehensive estate planning kit to help organize and plan. Feel free to download your free kit now.

Our Will Kit is a tool to help you:

  • Set family goals and create a plan.
  • Lessen tax burdens.
  • Use trusts to support you, your family and loved ones.
  • Keep a digital record of important information.
  • Organize everything in one place.
  • Easily update records.

Consider creating or updating your will this month. For additional resources, visit our planning library to learn more about Estate Planning Starters, Navigating Estate Planning, Protecting Your Family (and your pets), Making the Most of Your Retirement Plan and Life Insurance and more.

The beginning of creating any legacy is taking the first step.
