Campus Recreation facilities and programs serve students, faculty, staff and the general community. The FitSpace fitness facility is over 10,000 square feet with bright lights, air conditioning and great campus views. It has 60+ cardio stations, 70+ strength training stations, free weights and a functional training zone with battle ropes, a punching bag and TRX suspension straps.
The racquetball courts, located in the West Gym, are available for recreational use for racquetball, squash and wallyball. Racquets, balls and court keys are available for check-out at the East Gym, Recreation Center Front Desk.
The East Gym, Recreation Center pool has five lanes and is 25 yards long. Aquatics programming includes lap and recreational swim, swimming lessons and fitness classes.
The Wellness Services Suite has dedicated treatment rooms for massage therapy, nutritional assessments and fitness evaluations. Appointments are available with both licensed massage therapists and registered dietitians.
The FitCourt, located adjacent to the East Gym, Recreation Center, offer seven training zones and over 30 pieces of body-weight equipment to deliver a functional, full-body workout.
The Challenge Course offers small groups the opportunity to focus on problem-solving and creative thinking, leadership skills and decision making, self-awareness, cooperation, mentoring and building trust. It has six low team elements and five high challenges, including a 200-foot zip line.
The disc golf course runs throughout the East Campus wooded areas. The 18 hole, 4,560-feet, par-58 course features a variety of hole distances and settings, which prove to be challenging for beginner and advanced players alike.
The recreational turf field is a 130,000-square-foot, lighted facility that expands opportunities for the thousands of students who play intramural and club sports each year. The turf is available to rent for practices, tournaments or special events when not in use.
The tennis courts, located behind the East Gym, Recreation Center, are available for recreational use for tennis or pickleball. Yellow lines are painted on the courts for pickleball, while white lines are visible for tennis. Racquets and balls are available for check-out at the Recreation Center Front Desk.
The outdoor bathrooms are available seasonally and are located across from the track and field stadium.
