Hosted by the College of Community and Public Affairs (CCPA), the Binghamton University
Center for Community Schools, and SUNY System Administration, the day-long convening
was a call to action for SUNY to take the lead in implementing the University-Assisted
Community Schools (UACS) model across New York State.

Assistant Professor of Social Work Monica Adams intertwines nutrition, health and social equity.
Dr. Monica Adams has spent 25 years working with disenfranchised populations to forward her social work practice and support the needs of community members. Her research spans various topic areas, in which she primarily works to identify health disparities and advance the role of public policies to address them.
