The MRC hosts, sponsors and collaborates on a diverse range of signature and core programs to engage and educate the Binghamton campus community.
New Student of Color Mentoring Program
The program is designed to help new students of color ingratiate themselves to the campus and develop bonds with other students, faculty and staff of color
Pathways to Inclusive Leadership
Pathways to Inclusive Leadership (Pathways) is a program designed to assist students in their leadership development, through a comprehensive and inclusive approach focused on diversity, career readiness and civic engagement.
B-College Bound Mentor Program
The B-College Bound Mentor Program expands services and support provided to Upward Bound (UB) students to ensure their success in college attendance and enhance connections between Binghamton University and the local community.
Cultural Recognition Ceremony
An annual ceremony that celebrates the excellence, commitment, dedication and tireless efforts of students of color and multicultural student organizations.
Cultural Heritage Celebrations
The Multicultural Resource Center supports programs observing Latin Heritage Month (October), Lunar New Year Celebration (February), Black History Month (February), Women's History Month (March) and Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (April).
MLK Series
Honoring MLK is designed to foster inclusive community-building and transformative learning opportunities while also fostering connections with the local community.
Lunar New Year Celebration
The Lunar New Year Celebration is a month-long observance including numerous events hosted by Asian/Asian-American student organizations at the Appalachian Dining Hall.
MOC Summit
The Men of Color Summit will educate, empower and motivate our students to strive for excellence in education.
MRC Open House
At the start of each semester, the MRC hosts an open house to introduce the campus community students, staff and services offered in our space!
In the Lounge with MRC
In the Lounge with the MRC is a series of programs and initiatives that coincide with cultural heritage months/events, planned by our Graduate Assistant for Event Planning and Event Planning Interns. These events include our Culture Chats, watch parties, painting, crafts and so much more! Culture Chats
Join us virtually for our monthly Culture Chats, a luncheon with faculty/staff and students of color. Each lunch is designed to provide regular opportunities for students to engage with faculty and professional staff on topics such as hot topics, current news and events, networking opportunities, internships and graduate school while building effective support systems across campus.
