BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University’s Small Business Development Center will be hosting a Minority Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) and Procurement workshop, which will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jul. 18, in room ES2008 of Binghamton University’s Engineering and Science Building located at the Innovative Technologies Complex, 85 Murray Hill Road in Vestal.

The workshop will cover a range of issues including the process and benefits of earning MWBE certification, as well as a review of federal, state or large company procurement opportunities. If participants are already certified, the program will provide instructions on how to optimize certification.

Speakers will include federal and state government contracting coordinators, MWBE owners, and procurement representatives from Binghamton University and major local businesses.
