BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University’s Center for Innovative and Continuing Education is offering a 14-week, online Paralegal Certificate program beginning Monday, March 10.

This comprehensive course is designed for those who are interested in becoming a paralegal in any one of the following industries: banks, law firms, insurance agencies, real estate companies, legal clinic, courts, government agencies, charitable organizations, accounting firms, engineering firms, title companies, construction companies, legal aid offices and automobile dealerships.   

Program highlights include attorney and paralegal ethics, techniques of jury selection and the jury selection process, significant elements of the substantive law of torts and contracts, and the important rules of civil procedure and evidence. Learn how to prepare legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, discovery documents and more.

Participants will be provided with a basic foundation in all aspects of paralegal development. The program fee is $1,189, plus the cost of books.
