BINGHAMTON, NY – The Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science at Binghamton University will again host a full day of programming for budding engineers in celebration of National Engineers Week. The events, which are free and open to students of all ages, will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, in the Engineering and Science Building at Binghamton University’s Innovative Technologies Complex (ITC), 85 Murray Hill Rd., Vestal.

This year, there will be several exciting, new hands-on activities, including magnetic levitation vehicle races, the penny boat challenge and a build-your-own-circuit event. Other events offer familiar challenges from the past: the 15-foot egg drop and the popsicle stick bridge-building competition. Participants can also check out the super-mileage car and a 3-D printing demonstration.

All individuals under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
