May 2020 AP Equivalencies

MAY 2020 AP EQUIVALENCIES

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the AP exams offered in May 2020 will transfer based on the following equivalencies, regardless of when a student enters Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

  • Score of 3 = elective credits
  • Score of 4 or 5 = ARTH 110
Aesthetics (A)
Biology
  • Score of 3 = MSCI xxx 
  • Score of 4 = BIOL 113  
  • Score of 5 = BIOL 113 and MSCI xxx elective (8 credits)
Laboratory Science (L) for scores of 4 and 5 only 
Calculus A B
  • Score of 3 or 4* = MATH 223 (2 credits) and MATH 224 (2 credits)
  • Score of 5 = MATH 224 (2 credits) and MATH 225 (2  credits)

*Students who receive a score of 3 or 4 may opt to take a MATH 225 placement exam

Math/Reasoning (M)
Calculus B C
  • Score of 3 = MATH 224 (2 credits) and MATH 225 (2 credits)  
  • Score of 4 = MATH 223 (2 credits), MATH 224 (2 credits), MATH  225 (2 credits) and MATH 226 (2 credits)  
  • Score of 5* = MATH 224 (2 credits), MATH 225 (2 credits), MATH  226 (2 credits) and MSCI xxx (2 credits)

*Students who receive a score of 5 may opt to take a MATH 227 placement exam

Chemistry
  • Score of 3* = MSCI xxx 
  • Score of 4** = CHEM 101  
  • Score of 5 = CHEM 111 and MSCI xxx (8 credits)
