Give to Mechanical Engineering

Giving to the Binghamton University Mechanical Engineering Department supports the future of the mechanical engineering industry and the continued growth of our department by giving current students more opportunities to travel to conferences or competitions, providing scholarships to qualified students in-need, funding innovative design projects and allowing the department to pursue new initiatives, programs or recruitment strategies. Innovation, experience and diversity all contribute to a stronger cohort of engineers worldwide and it starts here at Binghamton University.

Department Initiatives

  • Scholarships - Scholarships are a vital tool for the department's ability to recruit an outstanding, diverse undergraduate and graduate student population. These scholarships also allow underprivileged students to focus on their education instead of the financial difficulties of pursuing a degree.
  • Student Travel - Conferences and competitions are an integral part of the learning experience at Binghamton University. The Mechanical Engineering Department needs your help to make sure students have funds available when opportunities arise for educational experiences outside of the Binghamton area.
  • Design Projects - An engineering education often requires hands-on experience. We encourage our students to pursue projects outside of class that interest them and these students often need financial support to make their projects a reality.
  • Chair's Initiatives - Gifts to the Mechanical Engineering Department can support all of the above initiatives as well as the general needs of the department. The initiatives could include recruitment efforts, lab equipment or where the greatest needs are.
