Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences welcomes 25 new faculty/staff

Binghamton University’s Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences has welcomed 25 faculty and staff since spring 2023 as the college continues to expand. The new employees are spread throughout the college, having joined five (out of six) academic divisions and the Division of Advising and Academic Excellence.

“The new faculty and staff bring a broad range of expertise to Binghamton University, enriching our campus with their different backgrounds, perspectives, research foci, skills and expertise,” said Mario R. Ortiz, dean of Decker College. “I’m pleased to welcome these new colleagues to campus.”

Retirement

In August, Jeanette Lee retired from Decker College’s Division of Nursing as a clinical assistant professor after 16 years. A Decker alumna, Lee completed certificates as a community health primary care nurse practitioner in 1996 and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in 2012. She also earned a doctor of nursing practice degree as a family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in 2015. Lee taught psychiatric mental health nursing in the undergraduate and graduate programs, and she supervised students’ clinical experiences.
