Pre-Law Advising

Pre-law advising is open to all students, regardless of their standings or majors, as well as alumni. The pre-law advisor and staff provide guidance on the law school admission process and legal careers to all Binghamton University students and alumni. Anyone with an interest in law, whether just beginning to explore or already working on law school applications, is welcome to visit the office and participate in pre-law events. 

Students who are interested in learning more about the legal profession and/or being advised on the law school application process are encouraged to declare their interest by submitting the pre-law concentration form. The pre-law concentration complements your existing major's degree plan, which gives you the flexibility to pursue your academic interests while preparing for law school. After you submit the form, a concentration will be added to your student record and you will be added to the pre-law listserv. 

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni interested in joining the pre-law listserv may do so by filling out this form, which will allow them to receive important updates about events and other opportunities.
