EOP Orientation Info

In order to attend Binghamton University in the fall, students must attend one FREE orientation specifically for new EOP First-year students, which will be held on Binghamton University Campus.

Students will need to select the date that they plan to attend. Transportation to the EOP Orientation at Binghamton University is provided by EOP to students living in the NYC area. There is no charge to register for the EOP Orientation and Parent/Guardian Meeting. Students must be present for the entire event. 

Students must attend one of the following sessions:

BUS Pick-up and Drop-off

Buses to the EOP orientations will pick students up at Bryant Park in Manhattan at the West 42nd Street entrance (directly across from SUNY Optometry located at 33 West 42nd St, NY, NY 10036).

Time: Pick up at Bryant Park - 9:00 AM. 
           Arrive at SUNY Binghamton - 12:00 PM
           Departure from SUNY Binghamton - 5:30 pm. 
           Drop off at Bryant Park - 8:00 PM

Price: Free

If arriving by the EOP Orientation by a bus sponsored by EOP, students are only allowed to bring ONE family member with them on the bus.

Details for Orientation and Parent/Guardian Meeting:

  • EOP will discuss the mandatory summer program, fall class registration, and overall EOP preparation for success.
  • Every EOP student will take one (1) Diagnostic Math test. There are no calculators allowed for this exam. 
  • Parents will spend time with the EOP Director and Counselors to address frequently asked questions. 
  • Students will turn in all remaining EOP forms.  Check the EOP Form Checklist for the required summer forms. Students must have the entire checklist complete in order to be registered and earn credit for classes at Binghamton University.

Participation in the EOP Orientation is a prerequisite to attend the EOP BEP summer program. Your fall admission to Binghamton University is contingent on attendance and successful participation at the EOP Orientation AND the entire summer program.

Summer Program Dates

July 1st - August 2nd, 2024.
Note: The Program will be Virtual from July 1st to July 4th and then ALL students must move in to the Dorms on July 5th, 2024.
