Children and Gaming Survey

Children and Gaming Survey:

You are invited to take part in a survey constructed by the Infant and Child Studies Project at Binghamton University!

We are seeking input about your child’s digital media usage, and in particular about your child’s use of the highly popular digital game, Minecraft.  We have selected this game both because it is extremely popular, and also because many children with autism have been reported to play this game in particular.  If you elect to complete the survey, we will ask you for information about your child’s media use overall, and about Minecraft playing habits.

We will also ask you to complete a survey of autistic traits in your child.  We are seeking this information whether your child shows any indications of autism or not, because we need information from a wide range of children, both typically developing and on the autism spectrum.  Please note, however, that this survey is not a clinically informative tool; it is used for research only, and we cannot offer any indications regarding autism from responses to the survey.  You will be asked to fill out an anonymous online survey for this study; there is no need to visit the University, and unless you (separately) give us permission to do so, we will not collect any identifying information about you or your child.

If you wish to participate, please click the link to the survey (below).  We thank you for your time, and hope you will be willing to assist us with this important research project.
