The mission of the Division of Research is to promote and support the research and scholarly activities of the Binghamton University community, and to foster an environment that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship.
Binghamton’s research expenditures totaled $47.5 million in 2017-18, an increase of about 19 percent over the previous fiscal year.
In 2017-18, Binghamton researchers recorded 25 new technology disclosures and were awarded 18 patents.
