External Scholarships and Undergraduate Research Center

The External Scholarships and Undergraduate Research Center develops, recognizes, and awards undergraduate research; promotes and assists students with locating and applying for external scholarships; and provides outreach and advising to undergraduate students, faculty, and the broader campus community. These objectives lay the foundations for providing a transformative learning community that prepares students for advanced education, careers, and purposeful living. 

Source Project

First year students have a unique opportunity to enroll in a sequence of two research seminars in the humanities or social sciences to develop their ability to discover, analyze and communicate new knowledge.

Undergraduate Research

Work with faculty on projects designed by them or by you and earn credit or receive a stipend. Find opportunities to present and publish your research. Receive funding for conference presentations and for your research expenses. Learn about opportunity programs on campus that may be a good match for you. Meet with us to learn more about ways to become involved with research and creative activities on campus.

External Scholarships

We have walk-in and appointment hours available every day to meet individually with graduate or undergraduate students who are interested in applying for competitive, merit-based internal or external scholarships, fellowships, awards.
