Having an abundance of quiet study space options for our hard-working students is a priority. At Binghamton, students can choose to open a book and get to work in one of three libraries, the Classroom Wing, computer labs or study lounges in their individual living communities.

The Classroom Wing underwent an extensive renovation in 2017, adding 20 new classrooms with smart technology and furniture that provide a flexible learning environment. Fun fact: You won't find chalkboards in these new classrooms. Students can write on the walls with dry-erase marker!

Our libraries are the center of the University's intellectual community, providing a welcoming environment for the creation and management of knowledge through innovative thinking, open inquiry and collaborative partnerships.

The Glenn G. Bartle Library, named after the University's first president, contains collections in the humanities, social sciences, government documents and collections in mathematical and computer sciences. Additionally, Bartle Library houses the Fine Arts Collection and Special Collections.

The Science Library contains materials in all science and engineering disciplines, as well as an extensive map collection. The University Downtown Center (DC) houses collections for the College of Community and Public Affairs (CCPA). The offsite Library Annex houses important, lesser-used materials.
