Dates, Deadlines and Events

8:00am - 4:00pm
The first day of the BAT program will kick off with a mandatory orientation session. The first class sessions for the Summer session will begin thereafter. Exact times TBA. Additional information to come.
8:00am - 8:30am
As a nursing student, you must comply with health regulations set by the New York State Department of Health, the Decker School of Nursing, Binghamton University and affiliated agencies. Compliance is verified prior to and immediately following all deadlines.
Carefully read and comply with the health/clinical practice requirements detailed on Decker's Undergraduate Nursing Students Requirements webpage by the deadline. Failure to complete and maintain health/clinical practice requirements may prevent placement in clinical settings, result in course failure and/or prohibit future registration.

Health/clinical practice requirements deadline
Refer to Decker's Undergraduate Nursing Student Requirements webpage for your health/clinical practice requirement deadline. Note that the deadline may be before the add/drop deadline, and failure to complete requirements will result in the inability to continue in fall coursework.
If you have a felony or child abuse conviction
Students who have a previous felony or child abuse conviction are advised that their
prior criminal history may impede their ability to complete the requirements of certain
academic programs and/or meet the licensure requirements of certain professions. Students
with a prior criminal history should also be aware that agencies for clinical, field
or internship experiences may require a background check. A prior criminal history
may preclude participation in such experiences at these agencies. Students concerned
about these restrictions are advised to contact the program director of their intended
academic program.
Nursing students who are convicted of a felony or child abuse while enrolled in Decker
College must report those convictions to their academic program director, as it may
change their progression and ability to be placed in a clinical agency. Nursing students
who wish to learn if felony/child abuse convictions will negatively impact their ability
for licensure should check with the State Board of Nursing in the state where they plan to practice.

If you previously completed coursework at Binghamton University, your prior undergraduate record will be included in your cumulative grade point average (GPA). This means your grades from previous courses will be combined with your Decker grades to compute your GPA.
