The primary purpose of advisement is to provide access to ongoing, regular counsel for students regarding their academic, intellectual, psychological/mental health and professional development.
Faculty Advising
All students will have an occupational therapy faculty member assigned by the program director for their academic advisement adherent to Binghamton University advisement policy and ACOTE policy.
Meeting with the assigned academic advisor is necessary to assure satisfactory progression through the professional program.
Academic Advising
Decker College’s Division of Advising and Academic Excellence is staffed by professional academic advisors who are available to guide students from pre-admission through graduation. Academic advisors assist students in identifying and accessing appropriate support services as necessary.
