Executive Director of Emergency Management and Environmental Health and Safety, Pace University

Brian Anderson is the Executive Director of Emergency Management and Environmental Health & Safety at Pace University.  In the past ten years, he has successfully established an Environmental Health & Safety program and enhanced the Emergency Management efforts across Pace University’s three campuses.   He developed and manages safety and compliance programs, led the efforts to make Pace a NYS registered Opioid Overdose Prevention Program, chairs the university’s Public Health Taskforce and university-wide Safety Advisory Committee, and steers emergency planning, continuity and response.  Before Pace, he served as a Research Safety Specialist at Columbia University Medical Center and a Hazardous Materials Officer at Columbia University.

He has a Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies from Siena College and Masters in Public Health from Columbia University.  He holds the professional designation of Certified Safety Professional.  He serves on the Westchester County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Nanuet Public Library Board of Trustees, and the Nanuet Little League Board of Directors.
