New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) offers grants and scholarships for residents attending college in New York state who meet certain eligibility and income requirements. To apply for New York state aid, visit the HESC website.
It is important that recipients of NYS aid familiarize themselves with degree applicable credit requirements.
Timeline for posting of NYS aid for the 2022-23 aid year:
New York State grants and scholarships are posted to student financial aid packages on Fridays, when HESC notifies us of new awards, beginning mid-June.
If you are waiting on a refund from the TAP/SUNY Tuition Credit or World Trade Center Scholarship, certification will begin in late September. Awards will pay and refunds will be issued within the first two weeks of October.
The Excelsior Scholarship application for the 2022-23 aid year is now open. If you complete the application and submitted the contract, be sure to complete the Income Questionnaire form to receive your award on your financial aid package. Log in to your HESC account for more information.
