SSL VPN - Secure Access to Binghamton University Network

Binghamton University provides access to Cisco Secure Client a secure sockets layer (SSL) virtual private network (VPN). This encrypted connection allows faculty, staff, and students to securely access University resources such as Remote Desktop (RDP), file shares, Banner, and other services that require additional security measures.

Installing and Connecting to the SSL VPN

  • Log into buvpn.binghamton.edu to download the Cisco Secure Client.
  • Follow the on screen prompts to install.
  • Open the client and enter credentials to establish a secure connection.

Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is required for access to the SSL VPN. Visit setup instructions for 2FA
