Scholarships

Judaic Studies Donor-funded Scholarship opportunities include:

Benjamin and Ann Schecter Scholarship in Judaic Studies

Awarded to a student with a major or minor in Judaic Studies.

Bernice and Louis Dozoretz Judaic Studies Scholarship

Awarded to a matriculated undergraduate Binghamton University student majoring in Judaic Studies and maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher. This scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters of undergraduate work as long as the criteria continues to be met.

Jacob and Rose Olum Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a full-time sophomore, junior or senior who is majoring in Judaic Studies. The award is based upon academic merit, and preference is given to a student with financial need.

Oppenheim and Russo Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship will rotate annually between Judaic Studies and Italian. 
Full-time female student majoring or minoring in Judaic Studies or Italian. Recipient must have academic merit defined as maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0. 
Preference is given to a student with demonstrated financial need as determined by Financial Aid and Student Records.

Victor and Esther Rozen Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a full-time sophomore, junior, or senior with a major or minor in Judaic Studies with academic merit. Preference is given to students with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Preference is given to a Broome County or surrounding area resident.
