Digital Scholarship Center 

The Digital Scholarship Center is a newly renovated space on the third floor of Bartle Library that features:

  • Flexible seating
  • Conferencing equipment
  • Projector
  • Laptops

Data Studio

Access specialized and open software and make use of our larger screens and optimized computers to load, analyze and visualize your data.

Recording Studios

Bartle Library has two recording studios. One on the first floor and a second added to the Digital Scholarship Center on the third floor. Both spaces may be used to record and edit audio, but have slightly different equipment. 

First Floor Recording Studio 

  • Two Blue Snowball iCE microphones with USB 
  • Camera and microphone for basic video recording
  • Two computer stations 
    • Audio editing station 
    • Video station 

Third Floor Recording Studio 

  • Two Shure microphones with USB or XLR 
  • Scarlett 2i2 Interfacer for better audio control 
  • Computer station for easy audio recording and editing

Digital Scholarship Center Usage Guidelines

The third floor includes a Digital Scholarship Center, recording studio, and Data studio which are open during regular Bartle Library open hours. 

Using the space means agreeing to the following:

  • Returning furniture and equipment to its original place and state before leaving the room
  • Not unplugging or rearranging any of the cords in the space including the data studio and classroom space
  • Equipment in the recording studio may be unplugged, but should always be returned to its original state as shown in pictures in the space
