Group Study Rooms and Study Spaces

COVID-19 Update:

Due to COVID-19, only one person is allowed in our ‘group’ study rooms at one time. Individuals can make a reservation for any of the rooms.

If you are looking for space to participate in your online classes, the University has identified these areas for that purpose - visit open study spaces on campus.

Bartle Library

RESERVE A STUDY ROOM IN BARTLEDesignated Quiet Study Space: East Reading Room (first floor), North Reading Room (second floor), 3rd and 4th floors individual study carrels, and Fine Arts.

South Study Lounge: 2nd floor lounge with individual and group seating plus one group study room (reservable).

Group Study Rooms (reservable): Available on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors.

Group Study Rooms (first come, first serve): Available on the corners of the 3rd floor.

Video Recording Studio (reservable) available on the north-side of Information Commons. Reserve now.

Graduate Study Commons: Quiet study space with individual work spaces, tables and lounge seating available exclusively for graduate students. Includes computer workstations, printer and walk-scanner.  

Bloomberg Computer Station (reservable): for Binghamton students only.  Reserve now.


Science Library

Reserve a Study Room in the Science LibraryStudy space is available throughout the Science Library. Designated quiet study space is located in individual study carrels on all floors.

Group Study Rooms (reservable): Five rooms on the 1st floor and one on the ground floor.

Group Study Room (first come, first serve): Available on the ground floor


UDC Library

In addition to the study carrels in the UDC Library, the following rooms are available in the UDC for quiet study when the building is open.

• Room 123 (Computer Pod)
• Room 357 (Graduate Student Lounge)
