Apple Recalls 15" MacBook Pro laptops

Apple has determined that, in a limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro units, the battery may overheat and pose a fire safety risk. Affected units were sold primarily between September 2015 and February 2017 and product eligibility is determined by the product serial number.

 Multiple HoverBoard Models Recalled

Universal Security Smoke Alarms 

 This recall involves Universal Security Instruments 10 year battery-operated ionization smoke and fire alarms with model numbers MI3050S and MI3050SB and with date codes between 2015JAN19 through 2016JUL11. View the official recall on the CPSC's webpage.

Honeywell Photoelectric Smoke Sensor Fail to Alert of Fire

This recall involves “-IV” Intelligent photoelectric smoke sensors sold with fire alarm systems installed primarily in commercial buildings; not sold to retailers or consumers. The smoke sensors are round, ivory in color, and measure four inches in diameter. Amazon Space Heaters Recalled for Burn and Fire Concerns

Amazon received 25 reports in the United States and 5 reports in Canada of the ceramic heater overheating, burning, or sparking. Two of those reports included minor damage to power outlets. There were no injuries associated with the incidents. View the full recall details on the CPSC's webpage.
