Background
Melissa Yanchak is currently the Resident Music Director for SUNY Binghamton's Department of Theatre. Prior to joining faculty in Binghamton, Melissa was a faculty music director for the Musical Theatre Program at Penn State University’s School of Theatre and served as staff music director and vocal coach for Wright State University's Department of Theatre, Dance, and Motion Pictures. Melissa has worked as a music director, conductor, keyboardist, vocal coach, and/or music supervisor for Work Light Productions (NY/NJ), Tuacahn Center for the Arts (Ivins, UT), West Virginia Public Theatre, 1812 Productions (Philadelphia, PA), Summer Stock Austin (TX), Cockroach Theatre (Las Vegas, NV), Florida Studio Theatre (Sarasota, FL), The Human Race Theatre (Dayton, OH), Interlochen Center for the Arts (Interlochen, MI), Feld Entertainment (Palmetto, FL), Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Front Porch Productions, Keystone State Music Theater, and Point Park University. Melissa served on staff for the Pittsburgh CLO Gene Kelly awards and can be seen on the PBS special about the Jimmy Awards, "Broadway or Bust," as a member of the creative staff.
