FINAL REMINDERS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATION

We hope you're looking forward to Binghamton University's International Student Orientation on Thursday, January 11. If you haven't already, be sure to register for orientation.

New international students are required to check in with the ISSS Office using the arrival form after entering the United States.

Orientation Schedule of Events
The Spring 2024 International Student Orientation will include two parts: a series of pre-recorded videos that you should watch now and programs that you will attend in person. View the complete schedule of International Student Orientation online.

Part I: Pre-arrival Orientation
The pre-recorded videos can be accessed on Brightspace and will cover a variety of important topics for new students including health insurance, immigration regulations and more.  Make sure to scroll down the page to the “My Courses” section and click on the “Binghamton University International Orientation” link. These videos should be watched before International Student Orientation on January 11.

Part II: International Student Orientation
The interactive in-person components on January 11 will allow new international students to engage with one another, make connections and get to know more about the Binghamton University community in an informal social environment.

All new international students are required to participate in International Student Orientation, even if you have previously attended another university in the United States.

Submitting Final Transcripts to the Office of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions
The Office of Graduate Admissions requires copies of your official, final transcript(s) documenting your previous college and/or university coursework and degree conferral. If your transcript does not show that your degree has been conferred or awarded, you will also need to submit an official (attested) diploma. Unofficial documents will not be accepted. This requirement applies to all enrolling students. You must submit your official, final transcript(s) no later than six weeks after the beginning of the semester in which you start graduate studies. The Office of Graduate Admissions is located on the 3rd floor of Old Champlain and is open Monday-Friday from 8:30am - 4:00pm.

All pre-arrival emails will be posted on our webpage for future reference. Emails will only be posted once they have been distributed to incoming students.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the ISSS office at intlori@binghamton.edu

Best Wishes,
The Office of International Student and Scholar Services
